Your cover letter (or its digital version) and linkedIn profile stem from your CV. Every document in your job application should reinforce your 'sales pitch' for the specific role. LinkedIn is essential for certain roles, like sales executives, but it's seldom required for entry-level and general job applications.

Being in a job without direct reports or holding a supervisory role falls under general employment (this page), whereas executive roles come with the responsibility of directly managing staff and/or overseeing budgets (executive CV page).

The 'obviously AI' application

Over-reliance on generative AI for job applications poses significant risks, particularly. While AI can help craft polished applications, it often lacks the personal touch, depth, and cultural alignment that recruiters seek.
